1000 years into the future, a team of children make a discovery. Beneath this city lies an earlier civilisation. In The Dig, we imagine that something happened to this civilisation in 2025. And the survivors, our ancestors, built a new world. What can we learn from what they left behind? Artefacts, remnants, folklore of an earlier civilisation are revealed. What did it all mean 1000 years ago? What will this reveal about the past civilisation? The children present their artefacts and their findings to a public.
Through immersive storytelling and improvisation children will create short performances about the preservation of culture and civilisation. There will be a showing on the last day at 14:30 for families and friends.
